Our Approach

Approach Driven by Our Focus on Developing
Job-Ready Workforce

Our programs are focused on professional certifications

Through professional certifications, we aim to develop the job-ready workforce of the future for carefully selected globally in-demand digital & emerging technologies career pathways.

Professional certifications are notably different from academic certificates.

Professional Certification

  • Standardised learning content built around industry standards, usually set through job/task analyses, focus groups, and expert interviews.
  • Assessment of knowledge, skills, and competency.
  • Often has ongoing requirements to maintain active status.

Academic Certificate

  • Learning content is determined by the specific education provider or institution with limited industry input and is not nationally standardized.
  • Assessment process largely focused on knowledge retention.
  • Is earned once and does not expire.

We strike a balance between knowledge acquisition and development of skills

Knowledge acquisition is important but only the first step in the process of gaining demonstrable competence in a field of study . Completion of ICMA Digital’s compelling multimedia courses enables the learner to acquire the required knowledge.

But you learn best by doing. Our skills development focus manifests itself in the form of practice sessions to develop skills and application of the newly acquired skills on projects to solve real-world problems.

The acquired knowledge, skills and competence is then assessed through a comprehensive professional certification process that assesses the learner’s soft skills and technical know-how.

Two Options for Program Delivery

Cohort Learning

Learners work towards certification in a cohort that meets virtually or physically on a pre-defined schedule.

1

A subject matter expert works as a live learning coach for each cohort to ensure that learning objectives are achieved.

Self-Paced Learning

Students receive bite size learning content every two weeks with a time plan to complete on the Coursera platform.

2

A subject matter expert conducts a progress review every two weeks for a group of participants and provides advice & guidance.

Enhance Employability Outcomes through Internships

Prospective ICMA Digital’s Partner Platforms
Providing Work Experience

ICMA Digital plans to partner with international platforms that would help students enrolled on its certification programmes pitch for internship opportunities to gain invaluable work experience and the professional skills they need to land a job (or work as a freelancer).

The opportunity to pitch for an internship will be made available after the completion of the specialisation programme. Most internships are virtual but there are others that offer an opportunity to live and work in exciting locations around the world during the internship period.*

While most internships are unpaid, some micro-internships are paid where the student gets an opportunity to work virtually on mini-projects around the world.

Most internship platforms charge a fee for the provision of their services. The work experience gained through these internships often result in a job offer or continued freelance work after the completion of the internship.

The larger among our prospective partner internship platforms boast over 12,000+ approved host companies in 70+ countries and a track record of 25% of the interns gaining a job offer after the completion of their internship.

*The responsibility for obtaining travel visa and all related costs rests with the student
