ICMA Digital is the digital-first career development arm of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants in Pakistan (ICMA Pakistan). ICMA Digital Academy Limited is incorporated in the United Kingdom.

ICMA Pakistan was established in 1951 and was granted statutory status under the Cost and Management Accountants Act of 1966 to regulate Cost and Management Accountants in Pakistan.

ICMA Pakistan is a professional body and the driving force behind the profession of Management Accounting in Pakistan.

ICMA Pakistan has circa 7,500 full members and approximately 20,000 student members on the pathway to become future Chartered Management Accountants.

ICMA Pakistan is a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). It is also a member of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants and the South Asian Federation of Accountants.

Shehzad Ahmed Malik

Shehzad is the Co-Chairman of ICMA Digital and the President of ICMA Pakistan. Currently, he serves as the CEO of SMNCO – Shehzad Malik Management Consultants (Pvt) Ltd and holds board memberships across various companies.

Shehzad represents ICMA in the Members’ Development Committee of the Confederation of Asia and Pacific Accountants (CAPA). Additionally, he is a Board member of SAFA and its Committee on Education, CPD, and Training. He has previously held the role of Chairman for the Joint Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and ICMA Pakistan. Furthermore, he served in roles including Vice President, Honorary Secretary, and Chairman of Islamabad Branch Council (IBC).

With over 24 years of professional experience, Shehzad has dedicated 17 years to CMA practice. Prior to his current roles, he held the position of Finance Director/CFO at both Islamabad Electric Supply Company and the Army Welfare Trust (AWT). His dedication to the industry extends further; he served as a member of the Tax Reforms Committee of the Ministry of Finance and was a faculty member at Fatima Jinnah Women University, and ICMA Pakistan for a decade. His expertise spans national and international platforms, covering areas such as mergers, accounts, audit, and training.

In addition to his extensive board memberships and professional contributions, Shehzad is the honorary Chairman of the Taxation Committee for the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Shehzad is a Pakistani national.

George Robb

George is the Co-Chairman of ICMA Digital and the Chairman of The FinTech Group, a venture development and project management firm based in the UK. He brings decades of experience in the investment, asset and wealth management sectors.

​George was a co-founder and former Chairman and CEO of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC. Subsequently he established Asset Management Investment Company PLC, which invested in the global asset management sector, of which company he was Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer from its incorporation until 2011.

George has been a director and chairman of many public and private companies in several jurisdictions including most recently European Wealth Management Group Limited, City of London Investment Management Group plc and The ECU Group plc. He is currently Chairman of Asset Management Advisers Limited, Oryx Management Services Limited, Ilex Associates Limited and Manufacturers Capital Limited and is on the boards of several other companies.

Aamir Ijaz Khan

Aamir Ijaz Khan

Aamir is the Vice Chairman of ICMA Digital, the Executive Director of ICMA Pakistan and a Director of PAIB Committee of IFAC as Technical Advisor and Foundation of the South Asian Federation of Accountants. He has 25+ years of diversified experience in the areas of client servicing, project implementation, business repositioning, financial management and compliance. Prior to assuming his current positions, he was serving as Head of Quality Assurance at M/s. Innovative Pvt. Ltd. He has also worked as Audit MIS Expert (Punjab) in a World Bank funded project named “Project to Improve Financial Reporting & Auditing” (PIFRA) and as Executive Financial Accountant at Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

At ICMA Pakistan, he held several positions including Chairman of Lahore Branch Council (LBC) during the period from 2011 to 2013. Being a pioneer member of Quality Assurance Board of ICMA Pakistan, he remained a vocal participant for the first four years of its inception. He has also served ICMA Lahore Toastmasters Club as its Founder President.

Currently, Aamir is a member of the Management Committee of MENSA International – Pakistan Chapter. As a professional trainer and motivational speaker, he has conducted several training sessions and workshops. He has contributed various papers on national and international forums on themes of growth dynamics of Pakistani services sector and Pakistan economy, economic sectors’ strategic dynamics, and budgetary measures.

Nadeem Mujtaba

Nadeem Mujtaba

Nadeem is the CEO of ICMA Digital. He is also the Founder and Managing Director of The FinTech Group, a venture development and project management firm based in the UK. He brings more than 30 years of experience in strategy consulting and financial services sectors. He was also a part of the Management Committee of Chairman Mentors International (“CMi”), the Europe’s leading ‘mentoring’ firm based in London.

During his management consulting and venture development career, he has worked for Oliver Wyman in the UK for five years and on consulting projects with Booz & Company, Roland Berger, Gulf Ventures Corporation and Ernst & Young for two decades in the Middle East. During his 25+ years in management consulting, Nadeem has worked on consulting assignments in the UK, Sweden, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Libya and Pakistan. He has conducted consulting assignments in retail banking, corporate & institutional banking, insurance, investment company, shipping & transportation, telecom, manufacturing & distribution, Islamic finance standard setting body, and for financial regulators.

Reporting to the CEO, Nadeem was also the Head of Strategy for Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC), a supra-national financial institution owned equally by the six GCC states with its headquarters in Kuwait. As part of his strategy development portfolio at GIC, he also worked at Gulf International Bank (GIB) in Bahrain, the wholly owned subsidiary of GIC.

Prior to his experience in strategy consulting and financial services sector, Nadeem gained auditing experience with Deloitte in Bahrain and Ernst & Young in the UK.

Nadeem is a British national.

Shaham Ahmed

Shaham Ahmed

Shaham is a Non-Executive Director at ICMA Digital and the Honorary Secretary at ICMA Pakistan. As a Fellow Member of ICMA Pakistan, he has been influential in representing members on the educational boards of renowned universities and institutions. He further extends his professional contributions as a member of the IT Committee for the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).

Boasting over 24 years of professional experience, Mr. Ahmed is presently the Staff General Manager of Business Development for a premier automobile company in Pakistan.

He has contributed significantly to academia, having served as a visiting faculty member at institutions such as Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU), and PAF Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (KIET). In his role as Chairman of CPD for the Karachi Branch Council of ICMA Pakistan, he organized an unprecedented number of CPD programs (totalling more than 2500 CPD hours) and technical sessions. Demonstrating forward-thinking and adaptability, Shaham introduced modern technical skills workshops to ICMA Pakistan, spanning topics like SAP Hana, BI, Power Query, FinTech, and Big Data. He also pioneered a Continuous Learning and Development series, aimed at everything from soft skills to leadership training, facilitated by nationally and internationally recognized trainers.

Shaham is a Pakistani national.

Michael McKinlay

Michael McKinlay

Michael is a Director at ICMA Digital with responsibilities for investor relations and delivery partner relationships with universities in Pakistan. He is also a Director at The FinTech Group, a venture development and project management firm based in the UK.

Michael is also the Founder and CEO of Stormberg Partners WLL, Bahrain, a Middle East based advisory firm which supports the deployment of new disruptive technologies from OECD countries to leading institutions, family business groups and government enterprises in the Middle East. He has 40-years leadership experience across commercial, investment banking and wealth management whilst building businesses often from start-up and in an international setting.

As a banker Michael led 3-successful ‘greenfield’ start-ups including for (i) HSBC in Saudi Arabia & Europe (Jersey, London, Geneva), for (ii) Credit Suisse Asset Management in London, and (iii) what-is-now Emirates NBD in Dubai & Europe (Jersey, London). As part of his responsibilities for HSBC – SABB he was also appointed MD Saudi British Investment Management, Switzerland and for Emirates NBD a Director of ENBD Trust Co (Jersey) Ltd.

Michael began his banking career at Chemical Bank (now J.P. Morgan Chase). He served in North America, Europe and the Middle East. Over time he held country / region leadership positions for Oman and separately for the Middle East and later for Canada. He was a Member of the bank’s Credit Committee.

Michael is a British national.

Osman Nasir

Osman is a Director at ICMA Digital with responsibilities for strategy & industry partnerships. He is a seasoned technology strategist with a proven track record in global product development and partnership management. He recently concluded a two-year term as the Managing Director of Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), where he spearheaded the National IT Export Enhancement Framework. Under his leadership, IT exports surged by 81%, and new IT company registrations from smaller towns grew by 145%. He also initiated 19 new Software Technology Parks across 15 cities and launched Pakistan’s first scalable technology HR development plan.

Osman is the architect of TECH destiNATION PAKISTAN, an umbrella branding program that includes a global marketing strategy and international business development. He has been instrumental in policymaking, leading the committee for the National Freelancing Facilitation Policy.

Currently, he is pioneering Pakistan’s largest multi-company tech partnership, focusing on Artificial Intelligence, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, enterprise solutions, and Web 3.0 products.

He serves as the Executive Vice President of OPEN Silicon Valley and is part of the board of directors of the Sindh Digital Technology Board. He is also a strategic advisor to various platforms, including Pakistan’s first SECP-licensed digital wealth management platform, and an Omni Channel communication enabler.

Osman holds certifications for Blockchain Innovations, and Negotiations Strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management, Amazon Web Services, and 5G technologies. He is also a certified Professional Scrum Master with expertise in Agile Project Management and Product Management.

Osman is an Australian National.

Younus Ali

Younus is the Chief Marketing Officer at ICMA Digital. Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, Younus was Director – GCC Region at The FinTech Group, a venture development and project management firm based in the UK. With 30 years of global experience in the FMCG and retail industries, Younus has a strong knowledge and practice of the Middle East and Pakistan markets.

Younus started his career in FMCG as a Brand Manager for Colgate Palmolive in Pakistan where he gained substantial experience in the areas of category management, consumer marketing, market research, advertising, and P&L management.

In 1995, Younus moved to the GCC region where he worked for retail giants such as Alshaya Group and Alghanim Industries in Kuwait. During his 25 years career in the GCC region, he held several senior positions across the retail industry. He is experienced in developing new business concepts from inception to launch with exceptional results.

Prior to joining The FinTech Group, Younus had responsibilities at Alshaya Group for establishing exclusive partnerships with world-class retail brands and enabling them to achieve significant market share in the Middle East by leveraging Alshaya’s multi-market presence and operational excellence.

Younus is a dual Pakistani/American national.

Rashid Jamal

Rashid Jamal

Rashid is the Senior Advisor – Operations at ICMA Digital. Rashid also serves as the Country Manager – Pakistan for The FinTech Group, a venture development and project management firm based in the UK.

Rashid has more than 35 years of working experience in Electrical, Electronic, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industries.

Prior to joining The FinTech Group, Rashid was VP – Business Administration at Siemens Saudi Arabia for two business divisions with business volume of ~ USD 100 million per year (1992-2018).

He has worked with Hoechst (pharmaceutical) as Senior Officer – Finance in Pakistan during 1985 – 1992 handling financial reporting and company investments.

Rashid completed his accountancy training with Hyder Bhimji & Company with wide experience of audit and finalization of accounts of various types of industrial and commercial organizations in Pakistan.

Rashid is a Pakistani national.
